No, no confiscation. Simple, if you own a semi-auto, and you do not have the same license as is required to own a fully automatic .45 Thompson, you cannot have it off of your property. If you are caught with it off of your property without that license, five years mandatory in the Federal slammer. And all your guns are confiscated and destroyed, plus you can never own a gun, or have one on your person for the rest of your life. See, you still have it for protection, but you just cannot take it out in public if you don't have that license.

Of course, if you wish to buy a new one, then you already have to have the license. Should you sell one to someone who does not have a license, same mandatory sentence with all the rest. That should take care of the proliferation of these weapons of war.

The worst mass killings throughout history have been conducted by governments. So, if you are really concerned about human life, you should support limits on government power, and the liberty and ability of individuals to protect themselves.
