At first glance, I see a very stupid poll that suggests anyone who isn't a socialist is implied to be a fascist, and that is bullshit. Fascism is about total gov't control, something the Right is obviously not for. Similarly, anyone who isn't a fascist is implied to be a socialist, and that bullshit too.

That's not the point at all. I'm not trying to imply that anyone who isn't a socialist is a fascist, nor that anyone who isn't a fascist is a socialist. I'm pretty sure most Americans are neither. But that's the choice our two-party death spiral is presenting us.

I'm voting neither.

When you present a poll with only two choices and ask who are you voting for in 2020, you are implying that whoever a person votes for between the two supports Fascism or Socialism. I do not believe the Fascism label applies to the GOP, nothing in their politics has anything to do with Fascism and you have provided a false choice there. Nor is Socialism an accurate description of the Democrats, although many of their policies are socialist in nature, most of them do not want a totalitarian form of gov't that Socialism is.

I have noticed a tendency on this board to denigrate one side or the other, or both in this case, by using labels that are not really descriptive of either party or person. There are of course extremists on both sides, but IMHO they are a distinct minority and should not be used as an example for everyone else. I think that people who use such tactics are in fact contributing to the dissention and discord in this country; they are part of the problem.

If Bernie was president, he would be bent on changing our form of government to start lining up with globalization.
When trump leaves office, our government and Constitution will still be intact.

Yep. Less of two evils is still evil. These are the choices the major parties are driving toward. The only sane thing to do is to say no.
