Dem Sen Murphy: there's not enough votes for assault weapons ban: "I don't get why we choose to live like this with kids in fear. only in America"

These mass shootings are the price we pay for living in a free country.
Yes.

Other people's children are a bargain price to not even make the top 10. That's because they are other people's.

The countries that took the top 10 places, in order, were Switzerland, New Zealand, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Canada and Finland (tied at 6), Australia, Sweden, and Luxembourg. Selected jurisdictions rank as follows: United Kingdom (14), Germany, Japan, and the United States (tied at 15)

I'm a parent and dont feel that way and my niece and many other teachers say different,,
bottom line is they can be defended and child abusers like you dont want them to be,,
the question is why do you use children as political pawns??
Why do you right wingers constantly give these canned responses that make you seem like you are inanimate objects? :)

Children as political pawns? LOL. You're advocating using them for target practice.

no I am advocating for protecting children in schools just like we protect every other important institution in this country,,,

youre the one giving a canned response that children shouldnt be protected from those that would do them harm by raping or killing them,,

and now youre using them as political pawns to advance more gun control measures,,,

You are. You got armed guards in banks protecting money, the president has armed guards. Lots of people do, but blood thirty demons like you don't want armed people protecting schools. Sick pos.

Oh yeah that'll solve everything, just like it did in Uvalde, Parkland, and Littleton.

Dude in each of those cases there were lots of armed and armored men and they didn't do shit. Why? Because they were scared they were going to get shot to shit. Human nature and all.

Armed guards won't stop schools from becoming slaughterhouses. People commit mass murders in schools because they are soft targets, like music concerts, airports, and movie theaters. You'll never get the manpower you need to prevent school shootings. States and local communities have teacher shortages right now, so what makes you think they've got the resources to put armies of armed guards, roaming through the hallways like UN peacekeepers?

I agree there's something else going on besides just guns themselves. A lot of toxic social isolation and too much time on the internet and playing Playstation, no doubt. But guns - especially AR-15s and other military-type weapons - are a major factor and will continue to be until there is meaningful recognition of that fact and a desire to do something about it.

The Virginia Tech shooter killed 33 people using two handguns. What makes you think that if bans of AR15's are enacted, that a shooter simply won't get the next "weapon of choice?"

That's why handguns too need to be severely regulated. Magazine limits on other long guns as well.

Simple, arm the staff. But you monsters don't want to because you want more dead kids.deny it but it's the only thing that makes sense. Another thing liar, there was no armed staff in those schools.

That could well happen, but that's not an argument to keep the AR-15 or to make other changes. America has too many guns, and until we significantly reduce that number, this is going to happen over and over again.

And accepting the idea that this is the price of freedom is what failed states do. We could still be very free if we had only 10% of the guns we do now - and probably a lot more free to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness without the fear of being shot while attending morning math class or going to a Kenny Chestnut concert.

Oh fuck off you fucken tool. I've taught before and most teachers are too distracted with their own teaching and classroom management to want the responsibility of having a firearm. And even if you do that all you're going to do is ensure that the teacher's the first one that gets shot.

It's not the only thing that makes sense; America is the only nation on earth - the only one - that has this fucken problem and it is because if imbecilic fuck sticks such as yourself who insist that we have some right to own military-style weapons.

Seriously, just fuck off with your nonsense.
