OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. —
District leaders discussed the suspension of an 8-year-old who was kicked out of class after he simulated a gun with his finger while playing with his friends at Harmony Community School in Osceola County.

Jordan Bennett was suspended from school for one day, but his mother, Bonnie, wasn't happy with the punishment. She said she wants his record cleared.

"He had nothing in his hand. It was a finger gun, a pretend gun," Bennett said.

District leaders discussed the suspension of an 8-year-old who was kicked out of class after he simulated a gun with his finger while playing with his friends at Harmony Community School in Osceola County.

There have been reports about kids who did take guns to school and well as accidental shootings of people who pretended they have a gun.

There's a lot of hysteria in our country and the cause is the gun nuts who want guns in schools, churches, the pizza parlor and on and on. These idiots have said that they would ignore the "no guns" signs at places like Starbucks.

I think the smartest thing any of us can do is ASSSume that every person we come across is a gun nutter, armed and hoping for the chance to use it. Some of the idiots who don't leave the house without their penis, er, I mean, their gun in their pants also have kids who they are brainwashing.

It sounds like the school over-reacted but "zero tolerance" should mean zero tolerance. Besides, I'd rather the kid get sent home than gets himself shot by some gun nut pretending he's wearing his Mighty Mouse cape.
