Democrats Pass Sweeping Gun Control

YES. I posted this when you said he was in the Guard. He wasn't. He was in the Reserves which fall under DOD. DOD is under no requirement to report to local authorities someone's mental condition or the threats he had made.

Never contradict Joey, he knows ALL! Often wrong but always certain, he will filibuster (garnished, as always, with personal attacks, deflections, and occasionally libel) until you get tired of replying to the same crap for the thirtieth time.

False. The second amendment is clearly about the right of the people to keep and bear arms. “Shall not be infringed” means what it says and your bogus spin doesn’t change it.

Thankfully, you ignorant foreigners get no say in our Constitution or our laws.

Joey is not ignorant. Joey is the purest, darkest example of undiluted EVIL on this site. Joey is evil on the level of Vasily Blohkin, or Lavernty Beria.

I've heard both Guard and Reserves, but for purposes of this discussion, it doesn't matter.

Point was, the man's family reported him to anyone who would listen. But he was still able to get a gun.

It does matter. The Guard is state run. The Reserves are DOD. As a matter, unless a guard unit is federalized or a soldier is for training or duty, they do not fall under the UCMJ.

Just curious, Bud, do you read what is posted?

Ylu are saying ”get” a gun. As I stated earlier he did not display mental issues until this summer, according to his family. He was hospitalized THIS SUMMER. More than likely already had them.

And, as I stated earlier, AND you didn’t read, DOD has no obligation to report these issues.

Son, I suggest you read what is provided or study up on the issue or this going to get be more embarrassing for you.

No, it really doesn't.

The man was acting erratically. His unit knew it. His family knew it.

He was still able to get a gun from somewhere and kill a lot of people.

So you are 100% certain Tht he did not own that rifle. BEFORE he started acting erratically summer, as his family stated? Can you provide proof of this? You are not intellectually armed for this discussion.

If he bought the rifle after he started hearing voices in his head, then shame on the gun store.

If he bought the rifle before, and no one took steps to take it away from him, shame on them.

You can’t claim on the FFL unless it was reported that he could n to own them. And then It would be bad on the database between the state and Fed gov. You don’t know the process.

The process sucks. That's the thing.

The process was designed by gun fetishists to make sure they can get their pecker-surrogates, and doesn't have an eye on protecting us from Crazy people.

Three things we always find out about a mass shooter.

1) Everyone in his life knew he was nuts.
2) He had no problem getting a gun
3) The Gun Apologists will be on the board making bullshit excuses about why this isn't a huge problem.

Maine doesnt have the red flag thing....they have a yellow flag instead.....

Unlike 21 other states, Maine, which prides itself on its libertarian and hunting traditions, does not have a “red flag” or “extreme risk protection order” law. Such provisions allow police to remove guns temporarily from people whose behavior suggests they may be a risk to themselves or others.

In 2019, lawmakers in Maine debated whether to introduce a red flag law but voted against it. Instead, they adopted a less effective “yellow flag” law which had been partly written by a local pro-gun organization, the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine.

why?

Is his time in the hospital mentioned in his background check?
Ever hear of Devin Kelley?

Court martialed but no mention his domestic abuse recorded on his civilian profile.

Get sensible people on the courts, and that problem is solved. If Hillary had won, we'd have a 6-3 sensible majority.

The problem here is not that someone didn't note his mental illness, it was that it didn't come up on a background check. Because background checks are weak.

Guns aren't mentioned in the 2nd Amendment, "Arms" are.

So either the government can limit arms, or they can't, and I should be entitled to weaponized Anthrax.. to put the neighborhood in fear.
You clearly mean a 6 to 3 majority that ignores the Constitution in favor of politically correct decisions based on social concerns of the moment.

In the 1960's I used to ride down the two-lane highway on my bicycle with my friend Alan to go rabbit hunting in the soybean fields and woods. We each carried shotguns with pockets full of shells.

Nobody ever stopped us. Nobody cared. Here's the amazing part. Neither of us ever killed anybody or robbed anyone. We did however shoot a lot of rabbits, and tie them underneath our crossbars like small deer. Gutted and skinned them at home and oooweeee, do they stink.

You just proved you are a talking point moron concerning the subject.

Bye.

Gun violence in the US is a big problem.

It is a problem because most of the gun violence in the US happens in Democrat controlled shitholes among Blacks and Browns. Blacks and Browns doing drugs, gang stuff and being street thugs and the Democrat leaders not doing jackshit about it.

Like in Chicago:

Year To Date
Shot & Killed: 478
Shot & Wounded: 2131
Total Shot: 2609
Total Homicides: 531

Moreover, Democrats ENCOURAGE this violence in many ways, not the least of which is their black-white divisiveness. America, Democrats have been preaching for DECADES, is "racist." You blacks can't get ahead so just forget it. Rob and peddle drugs. Jack cars.
We Democrats understand. We won't even ask for bail money before letting you out of jail before trial.

Did you serial racist whites know that Illinois has far and away the largest percentage of unsolved murders? Something like 69% last time I looked.

What is the first thing to do when you get to Chicago? LEAVE !

Because your god, "Government," failed.......His psychiatrists, his military command, and the police knew he was hearing voices, and actually fucking threatened to do a mass public shooting.....they have the laws to confine him and disarm him, in fact, he was at the time a prohibited person for buying guns...the police stated this......and they still didn't stop him....

The air force paid out a very large settlement for NOT putting Kelley's name in the database.

Ah, if only we held the gun stores to the same standard.

Kind of hard for the government to do its job if it doesn't have the laws that allow it and a lobby of crazy people who sue over even the most common sense gun law.

But simple enough solution. The gun industry can do it's own vetting... and they get held accountable when they sell to the wrong person.

Problem solved.
