Beer deliveries rushed ahead of snowstorm: Workers at Doll Distributing in Des Moines rushed Thursday to deliver beer and check inventories ahead of an afternoon snowstorm.

The American Red Cross recommends stocking up on water, food and flashlights ahead of snowstorms like the one that crossed the Midwest Thursday. Add another essential for many Iowans: Beer, ice cold.

Workers at Des Moines' Doll Distributing rushed across the city today, scrambling to check in and make deliveries to stores, bars and restaurants before the storm hit.
