You are a simpleton if you consider victorian britain a moral society. Child prostitution was the biggest employer in London.
 
That wasnt the worst of it.
I find it odd that 19th century society is held up by many as a time of righteousness and family values, when in reality no other point in history saw as much pedophilia and poverty-driven prostitution.
