In 2008, the U.S. had over 12,000 firearm-related homicides. All of Japan experienced only 11, fewer than were killed at the Aurora shooting alone. By comparison, also in 2008, 587 Americans were killed just by guns that had discharged accidentally.

I feel sorry for you, thinking the federal government and it's propaganda monsters(career politicians) will save this world from violence. Get it through your thick skull the more laws = less freedom. Bigger government = less freedom. More reliance on the government = less freedom.

MCW researchers found that states that implemented local-level background checks had 22% lower firearm homicide rates and 27% lower firearm suicide rates than states that relied on just the federal check. States with state level background checks also had lower rates of firearm suicides and homicides than states without them, but local checks appear to be the most effective.

The Japanese also experience much higher suicide rates than we do. I blame all the rice they eat. They're so constipated hari kari is the only way out.

Yep.....removing guns isn't a solution to the problem the left wants to solve. It doesn't end or even reduce murder and suicide.

But, removing guns is the goal of abusive governments so they can oppress their populations easier.
