Jesus preached about the coming Kingdom of God. What was to be Jesus' place in that kingdom?
The Romans wouldn't have cared what he meant, only what he said and not wanting peace meant war or rebellion.
Christ was of no concern to Rome. To Jesus, Rome was only an army in his war against Judea.
Three points:
1. According to the New Testament, Rome executed at least one Jew because Jews demanded it.
2. Jesus' kingdom did not replace Rome or any other empire or country. It still doesn't. Or do you think a kingdom not of the world is a kingdom of the world?
3. Rome cared not one iota of any disputes among the tribal people.
