Don Shula, legendary NFL head coach, dies at 90

RIP Don Shula, The greatest coach of all time. What made him great was that he did not make the players adapt to his style but he was able to adapt his style to his player's ability.

Top 10 NFL coach
Shula helped define the game in the 70s and 80s
Many forget he coached the Colts in the Super Bowl 3 loss to the Jets

Great coach. What a team with Csonka, Griese, Kiick, Morris, Warfield. Also had a good steak restaurant in Tampa.

Probably the only bunch of guys whose jersey numbers I'll never forget:

Larry Czonka - 39
Bob Griese - 12
Jim Kiick - 21
Mercury Morris - 22
Paul Warfield - 42

Shula pretty much set the bar for NFL coaches. Unfortunately, with the likes of people like Bill Belichick and Sean Payton, we see that not many coaches today attain Shula's standard of excellence...

Hold on one cotton-pickin' minute:

"In his seven NFL seasons, [Don Shula] played in 73 games, intercepted 21 passes and recovered four fumbles." -- Wikipedia

Coaching is easy ... try playing defensive back in the NFL ...
