Before Donald Trump was elected he often blathered that the unemployment were wrong and underreported and that and job growth numbers were overreported. Now he is blathering that the most incompetent administration that has ever existed is announcing great employment growth.

Donald Trump's administration has been caught cooking the books and Donald Trump is gleefully spreading the lie. Donald Trump is perverting the public service.

"It turns out that the amount of new jobs created were tremendously inflated and had to be reduced downwards by more than 500,000 jobs."

That's not small change. That's not an arithmetical slip. That is pure unadulterated perversion and corruption seething through The Bureau of Labor Statistics leaving a big smelly orange stain.

In a stunning announcement, The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the official payroll numbers in 2018 and 2019 were vastly overstated. It turns out that the amount of new jobs created were tremendously inflated and had to be reduced downwards by more than 500,000 jobs. This embarrassing admission raises questions as to the actual strength of the job market, the success of the Trump-initiated tax cuts and how exactly these numbers are calculated. ...

There is zero evidence in the article that anyone tampered with the jobs number.
The article explains in detail that the jobs number is an "estimate"
So your accusation that Trump ordered the bogus inflated jobs number is bogus.

The author of the article has a flair for the dramatic, but I suspect he knows better. Also, this was discussed back in Aug when the article came out, why are you bringing it up yet again.

The change was 0.3%, neither stunning nor anything to freak out about. They do this every year and the average annual change over the last decade was +/- 0.2%, so this was not far off the norm. When you are dealing with data based upon surveys a margin of error of less than 1% is more than acceptable.

Yes it is. The OP is a true Trump hater and has no clue what they are talking about.

The BLS does this every year, has been for some time. They are basically comparing the data received from the monthly surveys to state unemployment insurance tax records to determine the accuracy of their data. The change was 0.3%...not 3 percent but 3 tenths of one percent. For an estimate based upon surveys, that is pretty damn accurate.

If you go to the actual report you find far more detail.

Trump is a mob boss and he doesn't have to be explicit. All he has to say to his terrified minions is 'wouldn't it be nice if the job growth numbers were half a million higher' and his terrified minions get the message and do the crimes.

If a freank'n muslim can get up in this country and say, "we're going to impeach the mofo," without fear of reprisal.
I think your trump terrified minions is a bit exaggerated.
Put the crack pipe down dude.

The BLS almost always readjusts job numbers as initial jobs reports are only projections. The Repubs said the exact same thing about Obobo's jobs reports.

/——-/ Talk about desperation, using one estimate to counter another estimate. Explain how businesses can’t fill open positions, you Impeachtard.

The White House is not involved in the compilation of economic statistics. That is done independently by professionals elsewhere in the government.

That the jobs figure would be revised significantly one way or the other is not a surprise. The BLS usually does so every year.

The unemployment rate is a useless measure.

The only unemployment rate that should matter to anyone is whether or not YOU are working if you want to work.
