Yea. I noticed several variations in different counties.

If we implemented this change in America, would it break up the duopoly in America? Impossible to know for sure, but personally, I don’t think it would.

Our "system" can work, if we fix it. And adding one more party would be nice.

This "system" incentivizes and rewards the worst behaviors of its participants. But it doesn't HAVE to.

The system is fine. The problem is that liberals allowed Marxist idiots to overthrow them, then attempted to move everything more towards the radical left. Third parties generally are limited in platforms and undeserving of broad support, which is why they don't get any. In fact, I'm sure he would be happy if our choices were between the Communist party, the Socialist workers party, the Trotskyite Party, The New Black Panther Party and the We don't want anybody to be able to do anything unless we tell them party.

Maybe I inadvertently found the issue. I was approaching this from the perspective that there has to be something wrong with the system - that there has to be something we could be doing differently to help foster less shitty candidates.

Maybe the root of the issue is far more simplistic. Maybe we simply enjoy this never-ending squabble between the two political parties. We enjoy it when our tribe wins. We hate it when the other tribe wins. But when the other side wins, that’s ok, because the pendulum is coming back our way and oh man is it going to be sweet to stick it to them. We don’t want to see compromise with the enemy. We don’t negotiate with terrorists. We don’t want to fix issues. We just want to see our side win and we want to blame the other side for everything possible. We don’t care how shitty our candidates are, we just want to win because fuck the other side.

They know not everyone will buy into their radical commie beliefs. So they create 'third parties' to ensure they split the votes away from their own power base. The only time it failed them is when even more radical 'greens' rejected the commie lite message and demanded even greater stupidity.
