By 1964 tiny ArmaLite had given way to giant Manufacturer Colt and most design tweaks were figured out ( including Ambitious Civilian marketed programs ( like the Prototype “ Sportsman “ AR 15 in 22 Long Rifle and the SP1 Centerfire Civilian Rifle & later Carbine variations )
