I know their purpose and you’re exactly spot on Beagle that by creating a false narrative they somehow think that they are winning the argument and influencing readers, when what they are restating is totally false. Intelligent readers will see through the facade. The others will likely stick with what they believe to be true prior to reading anything in a thread. Sad but true. I try to keep in mind that the posters who use dirty tactics don’t represent all leftists or all liberals, but I can attest to the fact that dealing with these dishonest posters leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and a need to spit when I encounter one. On a serious note, I do find myself having a LOT more negativity about the left side of the aisle since I’ve been on this board it has increased significantly. I am sure this has happened to many other posters as well. It is difficult to separate politics from emotions when one is passionate about their country.
