That's an interesting video. Just because he supports ISIS doesn't mean that he was brainwashed. Look at the Muslims from the West, even girls, who are heading to the region to join the fight. No one is brainwashing them and yet they go.

What this kid saw he processed through his own filters, filters established over the courses of his life.

The sister seems less traditional than the mother and so is less receptive to the message, hence her surprise. On top of this there is the male-female dynamic. The reason so many young men are heading into the fight is because of the Holy Mission aspect of it, the sense of purpose. I wouldn't be surprised if this kid is tapping into that.
