Teachers have to figure out how to teach you whether you've got an IQ of 85 or 125. IQ scores don't matter; I've never once known a student's IQ and I have never thought "Gee, that would be helpful..."

For a teacher facing a class, and having a professional responsibility to teach each individual in that class, that might be true.

IQ influence the kind of job you can do. If some ethnic have lower IQ, it will explain why their performance in college admission is lower. That, instead of saying systematic racism, can explain that. So the solution is we got to improve the IQ of the race not to give preferential treatment to the group.

There's definitely differences in IQ, a lot of Blacks say "Ask" as "A$$".

I've not met a lot of Blacks good with verbal skills, even so a lot of them tend to smarter than Whites, and Asians in different ways.

In IQ, even within a country, the IQ can show disparities.
I.E Northern Italy has nearly the same IQ disparity between it's North-lands, and South-lands, as White-Americans do with Black-Americans.

It might be a bit of a surprise, but Northern-Italians tend to refer to Sicilians, and Calabrese peoples in the South of Italy as lazy, swarthy, and thuggish, even as "Africans".

Besides, Western culture might be something to be amazed at, and yet most of it is actually probably more bad, than good.

Again, it has been shown that standardized tests are not accurate indicators of intelligence. The only reason IQ keeps being bought up is for racist scum to keep trying to tell us blacks how dumb we are supposed to be as compared to whites.

Yes, I think the reason IQ tests and IQ scores were hardly mentioned in my four years of college, where I focused on teaching and on cognitive development etc. were because IQ scores really don't mean much.

No, IQ was honestly ignored because it is not much use to teachers at all. I guess they don't even IQ test students routinely anymore--they give the IOWA tests instead, which are different. In my day, we all got tested in K or 1.

What about for tracking and selecting for Gifted programs?

Like Paul said, that was the whole idea, originally--identify the slow learners right from the start (and now the very very bright ones) in order to better help them. All of this "slow" and "bright" needs to be taken with a grain of salt, though, since a person who is slow in "book learning" may be completely gifted in something else. Just about everyone excels in something. IQ measures aptitude for conventional book learning, same as the SAT's do. At least that's my understanding, since as I said, we didn't learn a whole lot about it in college.
