So yeh, there are an awful lot of religions in the world!

Many of them claim to be Christian.

And they do talk about Jesus here and there in those communities. The Original Church calls them ecclessial communities, NOT Churches. There is only ONE Church. Try to find some fault with THAT teaching, namely there is only ONE Church.. Did God estaablish thousands of Churches? No, God only established one. He didn't need more than one. People need or think they need more than one... house, car... whatever.. but no, only one house or car is needed.. (most of the time).

Peter started the first church in Jerusalem.
Peter did not start the Catholic Church.
Peter was dead for 300 years before the Catholic church was established.
He was not the 1st. Pope.

Peter started Christ's original church in Jerusalem. 10 days after Christ ascended to Heaven. Right after they received the Holy Spirit. Peter preached in his church for 15 years while Paul started the churches that Jesus acknowledges in Revelation and there were others that were started by various disciples. The Antioch church for one. The Catholic church came much, much later.
There are the facts you run from. Religious and historic.
And here is some scripture for you to shy away from. It's Peter, in Jerusalem, speaking to his congregation:

Acts 2: 36-38 “So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!”
Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”

Scripture clarifies your bs, and pronounces exactly what Peter was doing in Jerusalem:

Of course you read it, misery.
Stating the facts isn't malice, it is stating the facts. You malign anyone here who is not Catholic.
What you can't do is address scripture. It says Peter started the first church in Jerusalem. Leave your personal attacks aside, and confront the scripture. The verse that tells you exactly where Peter started Christ's church and when. It's those pesky little Bible facts you have a problem with, not me.

You might want to have a talk with some of the Orthodox Churches because I do believe they are of a different opinion. At any rate, don't expect your crowing about being the "real church" is going to hold any water when you realize that great cloud of worshippers before the throne comes from all walks of life and all groups of those who follow and obey Christ. The name on the door of that building you go to won't mean a hill of beans.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored Church of Jesus Christ with authority and priesthood to do all the work necessary before His Second Coming.

Not really. Why can’t 99% of the Christian churches do just one thing in his name, name their church after Him? Jesus said DO ALL THINGS in his name. If you knew anything more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints you would know every prayer and every blessing and every ordinance is done in the name of the Son.

Because simply putting His name in your organization's title doesn't really mean much. Making His commands your organization's goals and actions, OTOH, do. There are many organizations that use His name and act totally the opposite of how He said His children are supposed to act. IOW, don't pretend that putting His name in your organization's title makes you more special than the rest of His body that call on His name, especially when you add to the Scriptures, something He does not approve.

According to J Smith. According to Scripture, God always preserves at least a remnant of His people throughout all time. Noah was not destroyed because he was righteous. Lot was preserved from destruction. Moses and Jesus Himself were spared from Satan's attempt to eliminate God's rescuers. If the world is truly in total apostasy, that's usually when God wipes it out and starts all over, just ask Noah's contemporaries.

Back to the problem you all have because you can't even name your Church by the name of Jesus Christ. A simple thing to do.
