Literary drinking game, have a drink whenever:

- The protagonist is always a best-selling author from Maine.

- There's always a background character named Vic.

- Every adult character has had at least one parent who died of cancer. Other than Pet Sematary's 20-something Rachel, has any adult in a King novel had two living parents? I'm pushing 45 and both my parents are alive and well.

- When a person gets mad enough, they clench their fists so hard that their fingernails dig "bleeding half-moons" into their palms. Is that even physically possible with a short-nailed person?

- When a person is shot at and the bullet misses, the shootee feels a puff of air next to his temple where the bullet barely missed his head.

- When a character is at a loss for words, he opens his mouth, closes it, opens it, closes it and gets likened to a fish.

Don't forget that he ALWAYS has a tale of a dog or cat or animal being tortured...in detail.
