There is nothing under Law to prevent the FBI or DOJ to discuss any case or its specifics. None. To whit, while the FBI was investigating the IRS targeting of Conservatives, Obama claimed publicly "there is not a smidgen of corruption at the IRS." In addition, Congress has a Constitutionally Mandated responsibility of Oversight. For the FBI to ignore a Congressional subpoena is a felony and a clear violation of Law. Eric Holder refused a Congressional subpoena over Fast and Furious and was held in Contempt of Congress. DOJ ended up having to release the documents anyway.

The FBI is clearly corrupt and is violating the Constitution and Federal Law.

I clicked on the link you provided to the piece in the Hill, only to discover that it was an opinion piece written by Jonathan Turley, The law school professor, who testified that Bill Clinton needed to be impeached for lying about a blow job, because morals matter, and then testified that Donald Trump should not be impeached for attempting to extort the Ukraine, because it would open future presidents for impeachment for ridiculously small things.



Turley’s legal opinions are very fluid depending on who’s paying.
