Fear of Syrian refugees similar to fear of Nazi agents in WWII

The MS St. Louis was turned away from Cuba with 900 Jewish refugees from Germany.
They were then not allowed entry in the USA.
As their ship turned back towards Europe, passengers could see the glittering lights of Miami . Some of them even cabled President Franklin Delano Roosevelt begging to be allowed entry into the United States, but they were forced to return to Europe where 254 of them were eventually killed in the Holocaust.

The MS St Louis was turned away because in those days Americans were anti-Semitic, that includes FDR.

Of course, at the time, we had shut off all immigration, let alone Jewish immigration.
Do we want to repeat that mindset? The anti-Semitism was not as wide spread as you say
Many American Jews fought for the USA in WW II.

As I just explained, the two situations bare no resemblance to each other.

No relation to the current situation.
There is definitely a relationship.
Not an exact situation but enough of a similarity to consider who we refuse entry and what happens to them.
We need to protect our own citizens but we need to balance with the impact on others.

What total horseshit. We don't have to balance anything.

sez an ignorant goyim , back then Jews were demonized with the most filthy things they were accused of them by the christers

Anger Over Daily Mail Cartoon Equating Refugees to Rats

just like the 1930s against Jews

Pete Fraser, a musician from London who lives in Stockholm, did a quick Google image search and discovered that the Mail’s cartoon bore a resemblance to the final image from an anti-Semitic children’s book published in 1936 by Julius Streicher’s Stürmer publishing house, “Trust No Fox in the Green

http://www.nytimes.com/live/paris-attacks-live-updates/anger-over-daily-mail-cartoon-equating-refugees-to-rats/Meadow and No Jew on his Oath.”

Democrats didn't care much for the Jews, just like now.

Except...the rhetoric and sentiment is....the same.

Funny that...Now it's left wing subversives and DemocRATS that demonize Jews, all for the sake of LOVING the terrorist muslim!

You guys are the only ones that seem to be demonizing Jews.

naw , no balancing act needed in my opinion Elmer .
That pushes us closer to the scum terrorists that respect no one's life.
We must put our own lives first but we cannot ignore others lives.
think you are crazy Elmer , most I'd be willing to do is give the 'syrian' invaders some camps next to their homelands . Also give them some weapons to fight their enemies . No reason to further pollute the USA and the Western world with more muslims Elmer !!

Another intresting part of the WW2 Nazi agents story.
In 1942, under Nazi leader Adolf Hitler’s orders, the defense branch of the German Military Intelligence Corps initiated a program to infiltrate the United States and destroy industrial plants, bridges, railroads, waterworks, and Jewish-owned department stores. The Nazis hoped that sabotage teams would be able to slip into America at the rate of one or two every six weeks.
Some actually made it in a couple were imprisoned the rest were executed they never managed to do any damage still it has a similiar ring to what is happening today.

sure , let the Syrian invaders in the USA to add to the already existing 'fifth column' population that is already here in the USA Blackhawk .

I wonder how many people secretly know or believe that the so called refugee crisis is nothing more than an attempt to smuggle in suicide bombers and support it for that reason alone.

No more than the current political break in this country in similar to 1856.

Syria crisis echoes 1930s anti-Semitism
Fearing national security, Americans blocked entry to Jews fleeing the Holocaust.

anti-immigration rhetoric has always been fueled by racism, nativism and fear. Throughout U.S. history, critics have proclaimed that immigrants take jobs from native-born Americans, bring disease and draw us into conflicts abroad. During the late 1930s immigration crisis, these same tropes were used to talk about refugees fleeing Nazi persecution — most of them Jews — but with a new twist. After demonstrating that they would never become public charges, Jewish refugees had to pass an ever-increasing barrier of paperwork meant to "prove" they were not a threat to American safety.

Syria crisis echoes 1930s anti-Semitism: Column

Horseshit. The two situations are entirely different. The first, and most obvious, difference: There was no international conspiracy of German Jews in the 1930s attempting to carry out daily attacks on civilians on several continents. No self-identifying Jews in the early 20th century were randomly massacring European citizens in magazine offices and concert halls, and there was no “Jewish State” establishing sovereignty over tens of thousands of square miles of territory, and publicly slaughtering anyone who opposed its advance. Among Syrian Muslims, there is. The vast majority of Syrian Muslims are not party to these strains of radicalism and violence, but it would be dangerous to suggest that they do not exist, or that our refugee-resettlement program need not take account of them.
You are a ignorant little toad aren't you, at that time Jews were thought to bring diseases and revolutions to countries where they migrated to 'Jewish refugees had to pass an ever-increasing barrier of paperwork meant to "prove" they were not a threat to American safety.'

In the United States, antisemitism, which reached high levels in the late 1930s, continued to rise in the 1940s. During the years before Pearl Harbor, over a hundred antisemitic organizations were responsible for pumping hate propaganda throughout the American public. Furthermore, especially in New York City and Boston, young gangs vandalized Jewish cemeteries and synagogues, and attacks on Jewish youngsters were common. Swastikas and anti-Jewish slogans, as well as antisemitic literature were spread. In the US Armed Forces. In Congress, antisemitism was a factor explaining the common hostility towards refugee immigration. antisemitism explained Congress’s actions that blocked all likely havens of refuge for the Jews. For example, Congress passed a Visa policy that allowed only a minuscule number of Jews into the US, and supported Britain’s policy that placed tight limits on refugee entry into Palestine. Representative John Rankin, an example of a blatant antisemite in Congress, frequently and verbally lashed out at the Jews. Clearly, if such a high up representative of the American public spoke out viciously against the Jews, there was an evident problem within the American government. In the military, many high up officers used words such as “kikes,” and openly joked about antisemitic stereotypes. Furthermore, Jewish officers expressed frustration over the antisemitic attitudes in the upper ranks.

So like now, an entire people was demonized

No one questions that Democrats hated Jews back then, and nothing has changed.

I've already stated that anti-Semitism was responsible for our policy in the 1930s with regard to Jews. However, the security issue wasn't a factor. There was a security concern about all immigrants because many of them committed acts of violence. Sacco and Vanzetti are the classic example. James Garfield was assassinated by an immigrant.

The difference is today that we have empirical evidence that Moslems cause problems wherever they go. the incidence of rape skyrockets. riots and terrorism skyrocket. That isn't racism, that's reality.

We don't need that shit in our country.
