Dimocruds in disguise?

The hog epidemic is a problem particularly in Texas; the state’s estimated feral hog populations are in excess of 1.5 million, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Some guy specializing in catching the beasts said he’s already caught 306 this year.

Catching hogs. Catching them. To do what, release them later? Pretty soon they’ll be hiring super-duper SWAT cops to run around Houston suburbs with bolt action sniper rifles to kill them because no one can be trusted with a gun except cops. Lethal removal. But still not enough.

In order to keep up with the rapid propagating hog population in the South, everyone with a gun would have to be shooting hogs day and night. But they don’t want to do that, so instead, feral hogs will chase and gore little children, threaten adults, destroy crops, make back yards nasty with feces and cause massive health problems, and cause more erosion than can be imagined in a horror movie.

The Dim gun control nuts should hate that. Using guns to kill beasts that are doing immense damage to our country?

I just saw on Mysteries in the Museum that Japan had the same problem after the tsunami. A clever guy knew the boars were especially scared of wolves, so, they created a mechanical wolf whose growl and noises simulated an actual wolf and the eyes would turn huge and red when movement was indicated around the machine.

All boars took for the high road and split!

Are you replying to me? What post has a partisan bent?

But they cut spending to the bone!

These are the stakes of red-state governance. Elections that have ambiguous results, plant explosions, pollution, feral hogs running around in metropolitan areas….

Feral hogs are a big problem in many states in this country. Hell I've seen them many times while horseback riding in Florida.

They do damage to crops and a feral hog will attack a human as easily as anything else.

Millions of them roam all over America.

Its an interesting thing. Here in our gun loving states they've discouraged unorganized hunting of feral hogs.

Its probably time to cut loose on them with archery or atl atls year round. No one with a bow or atl atl should be accidentally hitting folks. We can have organized seasons like we do for deer with firearms.

Used to see em all the Time in George Bush park while riding the bike trails.
They wont attack you unless you block their escape route or they think you're a danger to the piglets.

The long north south trail in gray near the bayou is where you'd see em most of the time.

Yep, my cousin has some land in S. Texas and they shoot 'em when they see them but can't keep up. Went to Knoxville last August and up in the Smokey Mountains National Park they have a big problem there....they are hard pressed to keep the population from exploding.

This is what happens when you build a subdivision in the swamp, derp!

Here, it's open season on coy hogs and Razorbacks. They are destroyers, and not too bad a-eating.

I go down to Texas a few times here and shoot them from helicopters, unlimited shooting
