Zone1 Focusing the LGBTQ debate

WE seem to have a huge focus on less than HALF OF ONE PERCENT OF THE POPULATION.
JUST BEING USED AS A POLITICAL TOOL.
Have no clue at all why such a loud noise from people who seem SO overly interested in other peoples SEX LIFE.

Who is putting the huge focus on allowing men and boys on female teams, female locker rooms, and female bathrooms? Democrats, and only the most radical of them. Normal people wish it had never come up. This is an 80/20 issue.

If it's no big deal, drop it. You won't have a choice soon, anyway.

Either way, a failure of the DOE.
Or a failure of America.

Yes, which is why the DOE keeps failing so consistently.
Does it? It certainly doesn't prevent hurricanes but was it supposed to?

Correct, so if Ding Liren declares themself to be a woman and insists they really is a woman, she can take the women's championship if she can beat the other women?
If Ding honestly identifies as a woman, I'd say fine.

Or a failure of America.
Yes, due to other liberal policies along with those promoted by the DOE.
Does it? It certainly doesn't prevent hurricanes but was it supposed to?
It was supposed to improve education and stated that it would ensure equal access to education. That was more than fifty years ago. Men with family histories of heart disease have been born and died of natural causes in the time it has been in existence. When is it going to get to the busines of equality of access?

Let me guess? That was the next think it was going to do, but TRUMP is screwing it up?
If Ding honestly identifies as a woman, I'd say fine.
Fine.

Eighty percent of Americans find that absurd, and I'm surprised it isn't ninety-nine.

I think first America has to decide what equality of access means. You and I don't seem to agree.

We don't?

What do you think that it means?

Is there any possible definition by which we are there, or that we are closer to equality of access than when the DOE first started?

I think first America has to decide what equality of access means. You and I don't seem to agree.
Yes, you want inequality of access with men invading women's spaces.

BTW -- how are you doing on that peewee football team you are on? That equality of access must be great for you for beating the shit out of the 10 year olds.

To me 'access' means every child has a path to a high-quality education regardless of geography, demography, race, ethnicity, or gender.

I know there are programs in our local schools to support non-English speaking kids that are funded through DOE.

Yeah, the path is to move to a white neighborhood. Kids who cannot afford that, do not have access to a high-quality education. Do you seriously not know that?
I know there are programs in our local schools to support non-English speaking kids that are funded through DOE.
No reason to think those programs will not continue temporarily, while Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration sharply reduces the need.

You are way more racist and have way more faith in Trump than I do.

Okay, let me make sure I understand that statement. Your claim is that it is literally racist to want to control and reduce illegal immigration, correct?

Okay, let me make sure I understand that statement. Your claim is that it is literally racist to want to control and reduce illegal immigration, correct?
No, but saying the only way for a Black child to receive a good education is to move to a White neighborhood is racist.

No, but saying the only way for a Black child to receive a good education is to move to a White neighborhood is racist.
Okay, I misunderstood you.

What are some of the highest performing predominently black public schools? Whatever schools you find that are relatively high performing will be outperformed by even average predominently white schools. That's just a fact.

Are facts racist?

BTW, I asked AI that question and instead of naming any schools, it gave me a list of factors to look at if I decide to try to find high performing black schools.

So good luck.

Are facts racist?
Your 'facts' are. You say White schools perform better than Black schools. The implication is that White schools are better BECAUSE they are White. That is racist. Are better because they are more affluent, or because they are more homogeneous, or because they are in a state that gives less money to poor schools, or because they have fewer non-English speakers, or because they have an ethnicity that doesn't value education, etc.?

Your 'facts' are. You say White schools perform better than Black schools.
They do.
The implication is that White schools are better BECAUSE they are White.
Nope. Never said that. It would be nice if there was a study to find out why, but that would not be politically correct, I suppose.
That is racist.
Nope, it's facts.

It cannot be the part about the state giving less money. We know for - a fact - that the schools that get the most government money from all levels perform the worst.

Homogeneous? Are you saying that diversity has a negative effect on performance?

More affluent helps in that the schools have more local money. But trying to make up for that with federal money has been an inmitigated disaster since the inception of the DOE.

because they have an ethnicity that doesn't value education, etc.?
Hmmmmm.

What do you think?

Remember not to be racist in your answer . . .

Don't forget to name the best performing predominently black schools or district. If what you say is correct, you should find them by looking up which schools or districts get the most federal funding through DOE, right?

The whole deal is just to pull our attention away from looking at the real Important stuff.

It would be nice if there was a study to find out why, but that would not be politically correct, I suppose.
I'm sure there have been some, but the way our political idiocy stifles real inquiry is depressing. The same thing happened with COVID. Is still happening. We can't seem to have sober conversations about important social problems without it turning into partisan poo-flinging.

They do.

Nope. Never said that. It would be nice if there was a study to find out why, but that would not be politically correct, I suppose.

Nope, it's facts.
So there is no study that says some schools are better than others solely on the basis of race. So again you claim white schools are better than black ones. Sounds racist to me.

It cannot be the part about the state giving less money. We know for - a fact - that the schools that get the most government money from all levels perform the worst.
Chicken and egg issue. Which came first, poor school performance or additional government money? I'd bet on the former.

Homogeneous? Are you saying that diversity has a negative effect on performance?
Cultural diversity can be a factor. Cultures that value education, e.g., Asian and Jewish, generally do better in school. Any school.

More affluent helps in that the schools have more local money. But trying to make up for that with federal money has been an inmitigated disaster since the inception of the DOE.
"Disaster" or insufficient money to offset the impoverished school budget.

Don't forget to name the best performing predominently black schools or district. If what you say is correct, you should find them by looking up which schools or districts get the most federal funding through DOE, right?
I think we just disagree on the reasons black schools perform so poorly. Since I don't see race as a factor in intelligence, as apparently you do, I believe any differences are either social or economic.

There are hundreds, if not thousands. Here is a small, random sample:

Chicken and egg issue. Which came first, poor school performance or additional government money? I'd bet on the former.
You could very well be right. But the DOE has been pumping increasing amounts of funds into failing public schools since its inception and the schools have only failed worse.
Cultural diversity can be a factor. Cultures that value education, e.g., Asian and Jewish, generally do better in school. Any school.
Which cultures do not value education?

You're reading arguments into my words that do not exist. You made the claim that the Department of Education has been successful in providing equal access to education for all. Clearly that is not the case.
