And it completely ignores the economic benefit of labor, consumer infusion of cash to the economy, taxes, etc.
The Heritage Foundation report found that in 2010, there were about 3.44 million households headed by undocumented immigrants and on average, each household received about $24,721 in government benefits and services, such as public education, police and fire protection(??).
But we get our money back when we cut off Mexico's allowance....

If a wall is built, it is coming out of our pockets. However, the "wall" is going to be mostly a fence that can be cut with wire cutters and totally ineffective and expensive to maintain. Meantime, those that simply come over with a visa through a check point, and do not return, will increase. President Loose Cannon will try to put tariffs on Mexican made products, but can't, because of NAFTA agreements. If congress lets him gut NAFTA, there will be trade wars, and we can all expect to pay more for virtually everything in the form of tariffs or retaliatory tariffs. This would cause serious damage to the economy. In fact, this was a major trigger for the Great Depression. Meantime, the people who elected him, who do not even know the difference between Micro and Macro Economics, will blame the Mexicans for all of this, while continuing to buy cars manufactured in Windsor, Canada.
