The motive for war in the Middle East all starts with a 2000 year old fiction that says "soon" means more than 2000 years from now and stars are the same size as figs...

1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west

The Euphrates River bisects Iraq.

After all the WMH lies got outed and it was clear that Saddam had nothing to do with Col Tim Osman aka "Osama," a lot of SUBS just simply said it was "God's will" that the US invade Iraq with the blood of US troops and bill the US taxpayer for it. I say everyone who believes da biBULL ought to dictate US foreign policy is a 100% PURE TRAITOR.

The US has become a warlike imperialist nation, who’s primary manufactured products are weapons of war. History tells us exactly what happens to empires who live by the sword.

Geopolitical tensions have major impacts on specific companies, sectors (e.g. defense), and countries, but for global impacts there needs to be a direct knock-on to growth, inflation (e.g. via oil prices), or monetary and fiscal policy.
