George W Bush charged a charity $100,000 to guarantee his presence at fundraiser for military vets

I can imagine Jimmuh forgetting to send the bill....

But for Slick to not gouge? C'mon, you're straining what little cred you might ever have had. Where's your "LINK"!!!!
Someone else posted it on #273 dipshit. I didn't post a link because I thought it was common knowledge. If you kept your head out of Fox's butthole, that's something you might have already known.

Exactly. Again, as a matter of simple ethics (which is undoubtedly a concept completely out of the reach of George W. Bush), you don't charge money for your time at a benefit. That's why it's a benefit. If you're a donor, you give your money; if you're part of the attraction you give your presence. There is no definition of "give" that translates to "sell".

That's a basic tenet, but then you throw in the fact that the entity you're supposedly working to benefit, only needs those benefits because you sent them into a bullshit war based on nothing but proving your dick is bigger than your father's dick --- and then you actually CHARGE THEM MONEY to do it? That's adding injury to insult.

A "basic tenant" you have no problem ignoring when Scum Willy or Hildabeast charges broke universities $250K for an appearance or take in money from arab and asia tyrants. Dubya made the charity a bundle and was paid by another party for it. STEEEERIKE THREE, sucker.
Dude, you stink so bad no one is even allowing you to step up to the plate. I'm calling the vendors right now to see if they won't throw you out of the stadium.
I challenged your post as being lame and bullshiite. Your response was to deflect and evade answering the challenge by changing the subject and going on a rant. Bull is a name that suites you. You seem to be full of it.

Yes, "Bull" does suit me.....I'll put a horn up the ass of leftist pansies who don't get out of my pasture in time.
Dream on fool. We sneak into you pasture when you are sleeping. That is why all the cows are happy when you finally wake up.
Yeah....and his breath smells like poopy.

And before the partisan bullshit starts, I also lambasted Hillary for this.

Why would you demand any payment for speaking at a fund raiser? Okay, if you have transportation costs I don't find it unreasonable to ask to have them covered, but that's it, and in Bush's case, he's a multi-millionaire so big fucking deal if he has to spend a couple thousand getting there. Consider the cost his donation. After all, how many of these veterans now need this charity because of the war he sent them into?

George Bush charged 100k to be at event for veterans wounded in the Iraq war Daily Mail Online
the mass murderers the clintons and bushs charge charites for speaking, how lovely.
Actually Hillary collects bribes from foreign entities in exchange for future favors from them. Bush is supposedly reported to have accepted a $100 K payout from a private charity that has nothing to do with the Veterans Administration. This private charity only uses a small portion of the proceeds to help wounded vets. Chances are the troops made out better than if he hadn't showed up. But that's ignored, because the left feels it's okay for the Clintons to sell out the United States to foreigners for billions and Bush can't be paid for his effort, not one fucking cent. He has to do it for free.

Fuck all of you liberals...you and your constant double-standards.

What part of "your" do you find so challenging?

Folks, if anybody on the fuckin planet should be doing whatever measures it takes to honor vets, FOR FUCKIN FREE it should be this mindless bastard....but as usual, you got the hypocrisy of his party trying to rationalize his bullshit moves.........God in heaven knows if this was Obama??????Please!!

GW Lush should be throwing ever nickle he has to vets in this country, every penny and the dumb motherfuckers that paid the fee, them red fucks should be fired...this man is a joke and shameful blotch on America's history!!

blah blah blah

No Veterans group would think of inviting the traitors Carter, Clinturd, or Barry the Fairy to speak to them so let's not pretend they belong in the conversation. Little to no mention is being made of the countless appearances and benefits George Bush has organized and supported free of charge over the years. Instead we get this piece of crap story from a leftist rag who didn't have the honesty to point out this happened 3 years ago and Bush's fee was underwritten by an anonymous donor, costing the charity or Vets nothing.

Good point. For the same reason little to no mention is made of flying cars, time-share condos on Uranus or foam rubber face lacerations you can paste on.

The original article includes a Big Fat Lie about Bill Clinton. Clinton has "charged" at least one charity to appear at its event, with an extortionist quid pro quo for his foundation:

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, Petra Nemcova, a Czech model who survived the disaster by clinging to a palm tree, decided to pull out all the stops for the annual fund-raiser of her school-building charity, the Happy Hearts Fund.

She booked Cipriani 42nd Street, which greeted guests with Bellini cocktails on silver trays. She flew in Sheryl Crow with her band and crew for a 20-minute set. She special-ordered heart-shaped floral centerpieces, heart-shaped chocolate parfaits, heart-shaped tiramisù and, because orange is the charity’s color, an orange carpet rather than a red one. She imported a Swiss auctioneer and handed out orange rulers to serve as auction paddles, playfully threatening to use hers to spank the highest bidder for an Ibiza vacation.

The gala cost $363,413. But the real splurge? Bill Clinton.

The former president of the United States agreed to accept a lifetime achievement award at the June 2014 event after Ms. Nemcova offered a $500,000 contribution to the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation. The donation, made late last year after the foundation sent the charity an invoice, amounted to almost a quarter of the evening’s net proceeds — enough to build 10 preschools in Indonesia....

(snip)

Mr. Clinton’s scheduler replied with a cordial rejection — “Regrettably, he is committed to another event out of town that same evening” — in an email copied to Frank Giustra, the Canadian mining financier who is one of the Clinton Foundation’s largest donors and also a supporter of Ms. Nemcova.

Ms. Nemcova then met with officers at the Clinton Foundation, Ms. Veres Royal said. Afterward, she said, “Petra called me and said we have to include an honorarium for him — that they don’t look at these things unless money is offered, and it has to be $500,000.”

At least is Dubya's case, the charity made a return on their investment in his discounted fee.

If the money was given to Bush and it didn't go to the veterans, then it cost the veterans. Simple math. Something even a simpleton would understand.

You make it sound as if money going to Clinton Foundation went directly into the Clinton's pocket. If that's what you are suggesting, you need to prove it. Otherwise, you are a lying SOS.

Poor daft rdean. Given the extravagant lifestyles subsidized by Foundation Funds that the Clintons lead, laundering it through a foundation is fraud.
