Solingen a safe harbor - for refugees, not for Germans.

"Solingen is becoming a "Safe Harbor" today. Mayor Tim Kurzbach is signing the so-called "Potsdam Declaration". Solingen is thus joining the "Cities of Safe Harbors" alliance.
Mayor Tim Kurzbach is signing the "Potsdam Declaration" as part of the autumn synod of the Evangelical Church District of Solingen, thereby sealing the city's accession to the "Cities of Safe Harbors" alliance. "We have long declared our solidarity with refugees and the goals of the Sea Bridge," said Kurzbach. Membership in the alliance, which already includes 26 German municipalities, is therefore an obvious choice. The alliance is committed to political initiatives and concrete assistance for the reception of refugees in distress at sea."

Solingen wird "Sicherer Hafen"
Solingen wird heute zum „Sicheren Hafen“. Oberbürgermeister Tim Kurzbach setzt seine Unterschrift unter die sogenannte "Potsdamer Erklärung". Damit tritt Solingen dem Bündnis "Städte Sicherer Häfen" bei.
