Germany's Catholic Church calls for 'reduction' in refugees

The German Catholic Church called for a reduction in the influx of refugees arriving in Germany, saying the country cannot take in "all the world's needy," according to an interview published Saturday.

Germany has been struggling to cope with 1.1 million asylum seekers that arrived in 2015 and Berlin has not yet given an official estimate for how many it expects this year.

"As a church we say that we need a reduction in the number of refugees," Cardinal Reinhard Marx, chairman of the German Bishops' Conference, told the Passauer Neue Presse daily.

Germany cannot "take in all the world's needy," Marx added.

The question of how to respond to the migrant crisis, he asserted, should not solely be a matter of "charity but also reason."

You know it's serious business when even the Catholic Church wants to get you deported.

The Muslim "refugees" have worn out their welcome with the German people, and it's not just a bunch of right-wing lunatic Nazis.

The last time the Catholic Church got sick of Islam, they declared the Crusades, which was not about saving pilgrimages, it was about self defense. And now, hundreds of years later, the battle lines are drawn.

Did they clear that with the Pope first?
The German bishops wouldn't have done something this big without clearing it first.

But the Pope is a Jesuit. The Jesuit Order have been a major lobbyist for immigration reform here in the United States:

The difference is that immigration to the United States is mostly Catholic.

Immigration to Europe is mostly Muslim.

This situation implicates the survival of Christianity in Europe. So yes, it is hypocritical, but it must be done.

Is the Pope Christian or Islamic..................................................

Perhaps they understand the Radical Islamic threat...........convert or die..................

This has been played out in history since 650

Cardinal Reinhard Marx to make the statement, he's a big Liberal who's not really trusted on this issue....because of his behaviour in September, which was a joint cheerleading session with Lutheran Bishop Heinrich Bedford-Strohm welcoming the "poor refugees"

One can't trust Cardinal Marx, on 31st January, just a few days ago, he was publically demanding that Traitor Bitch Merkel stand firm with her criminal policy and also telling whole of Europa they must accept "quota" of so-called refugees.

I suspect that the CSU, Horst Seehofer and Co. are now putting pressure on Cardinal Marx, I don't think this has anything to do with The Vatican and Francis at ALL....Cardinal Marx is representing Erzbistum München und Freising - this is his Archdiocese, he's Archbishop of München and Freising....it's ALL CSU territory and I would certainly think that Bishop Konrad Zdarsa of Augsburg has put much pressure on Cardinal Marx here, afterall Bishop Zdarsa's family for long time have heavily been in CSU politics for many decades....right now Thomas Goppel his cousin is CSU politician.

Bayern is Roman Catholic, always has been, always will be, in Bayern there are only TWO things that are really in the soul the Roman Catholic religion and FC Bayern München.

The people of Bayern and their Bishops won't be listening to much of what Francis babbles....there is still another Pope....Pope Emeritus Benedikt XVI, he is also still Pope, he's still alive and he's still LOVED by Bayern and Salzburg - only 117 kilometres in distance between us - Benedikt XVI is still OUR Pope, not this Heretic called Francis.

Good stuff! My family support this great team for more than 100 years! Except for one Uncle who supported SK Sturm Graz for reasons nobody in the family ever understood.
O, for the days of Franz Beckenbaur and Gerd Mueller!

Now we talk! Gerd Müller - Der Bomber! He scored 365 goals in 427 Bundesliga games for Bayern, 66 goals in 74 European games and 68 goals in 62 International games....ALL members of my family, must be able to remember these facts or else probably disowned by family if forget!

Hey you know he now has Alzheimer's, it was announced in German and Austrian newspapers in October last year.

Secular humanism will not save Europe.

No but the resurrection of the Heiliges Römisches Reich is going to....thanks to Traitor Bitch Merkel, the Holy Roman Empire will again arise.

My avatar, our beautiful Imperial Banner....Roman Catholic Europa has never failed our people, Karl der Große his Spirit will again inhabit a great man who'll lead us to victory and salvation.

Karl der Große, the French call him Charlemagne:
