That makes no sense whatsoever. I know that Dean is going to get on this board and start complaining about Republicans. I know Matthew is going to advocate for education, science and tech spending. Does the fact.that I know these things mean they have no free will?

No, you don't "know" those things, not with absolute perfect godlike certainty. There's a pretty good chance they won't happen, and you do know that.

That is, you're not omniscient. God, however, supposedly is. Therefore, if God knows it will happen, it has to happen. And if that was the case, free will would be an illusion.

The Jews are smarter about this. They don't assign omni-attributes to God, therefore the Jewish version of God doesn't collapse under the weight of logical contradictions.

God is responsible for everything. At least if you believe he is all powerful and made everything and knows all.

Yes, God made and is responsible for
-The devil, hell he purposely sent him to the earth to be amongs humans. The bible says it straight out!!! Wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Bible was Gods evil side moving amongs us.
-He responsible for rape, murder and violent death
-He is responsible for everything humans do as he made us knowing what would happen.

-God wants sex
-God wants murder
-Gods wants fires
-God wants rape

Yes, what god wants, god gets! God loves sending people to hell just like a kid loves to fry ants on a side walk. Hell, maybe he'll send the fucking Pope to hell for his own jollies as he can do what ever the fuck he wants. The truth is maybe this world is the only time within forever you can feel like you have any freedom or purpose so I'd enjoy it!

Nope, it was the Russians that did it.

It is hard to believe in god when his followers promote evil and fascism.

Man has free will. God isn't responsible for what we choose. He is always inviting us yo do good. We are responsible for what we do.

If we have a child and teach them to do what's right and they decide to commit mass murder, will the law hold us responsible because we created them?

No jury would ever convict.

And that's what makes what Jesus did so amazing. He wasn't responsible for the bad choices we made. He didn't make them.

But he suffered unimaginable pain to take the punishment for those mistakes. H bled from every pore for everyone who sins. He died for us. Whether we make small mistakes or one of the horrible dons you mentioned.

Even more amazing is he suffered for the victim. He died to heal us from the sins of others. There isn't anything we have suffered that Christ hasn't suffered.

He descended below all things to lift us above all things. Because of Him I can become a Saint. Because of Him I will live and love forever
.

you haven't the faintest christian, the religion of the Almighty is stipulated as all inclusive, either all will be saved or no one - including Jesus. unlike you they knew what they were doing on the cross. good luck saving yourself., the "good" folks.

None of that makes any sense

No, God gave man free will, and man commits those acts, not God.

For example, God didn't make you a moron. You chose to be one through your actions and your beliefs.

Actually I've thought about this a lot. Here are my thoughts.

What you do is based on a combination of the chemicals in your body, your past experiences, your education etc.

So depending on the genes you were given and the people you were brought up around, will determine how you respond in each circumstance. Is this free will? Not really. In fact it's more like what is supposed to happen will happen because everything works in a manner that can't really be prevented, because you will do what you do based on what you are as a person already at that point, which is based on what you were given in the first place.

This explains perfectly why liberals never hold anyone responsible for their own actions. Unless of course it is a Republican, then their programming forces them to override that belief, and pretend to be outraged by their actions.

I'll agree with you that progressives have no self-determination capability. They simply act and react as they are programmed to do.

You phony christian nutters crack me up.

You really are human pretzels.

saving yourself through jesus is not what is required, your 4th century religion accomplishes nothing.

God is all powerful in that he can do all things that are possible. But there are things that are eternally impossible even for God to do. One thing that God cannot do is give a beginning to that which is eternal. All Christians believe that God is eternal in nature in that he has always existed. He is a self-existent being. So it is impossible that God created himself from nothing. But the truth is that mankind exists on this same principal. There is a part of mankind that is also self-existent and was not created or made and neither indeed can be.

Doctrine and Covenants 93:29
29 Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.

Abraham 3:18
18 Howbeit that he made the greater star; as, also, if there be two spirits, and one shall be more intelligent than the other, yet these two spirits, notwithstanding one is more intelligent than the other, have no beginning; they existed before, they shall have no end, they shall exist after, for they are gnolaum, or eternal.

It is also true that matter in eternal in nature and has always existed:

Doctrine and Covenants 93:33-34
33 For man is spirit. The elements are eternal, and spirit and element, inseparably connected, receive a fulness of joy;
34 And when
separated, man cannot receive a fulness of joy.

It stands to reason that if God and man have eternally existed, then could have been created out of nothing. God never said that he created man's mortal body from nothing but that he created from the dust of the earth.

Genesis 3:19
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

God put into Adam his spirit, which was already alive.

Abraham 5:7
7 And the Gods formed man from the dust of the ground, and took his spirit (that is, the man’s spirit), and put it into him; and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

Ecclesiastes 12:7
7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Because mankind is a self-existent being, God could not simply create mankind from nothing. He took the man's spirit which already existed and placed it into the man's body. Since mankind is eternal also in nature, God could not create that part of man that has always existed. For this reason God could not have created man perfect. He placed into mankind's body an eternal being who has an eternal intelligence. It just so happens that mankind was not in a perfected state like God is. For God to help mankind progress to be more like God, He devised a plan whereby mankind could learn to become more like God. That plan included receiving a body and experiencing mortality. After experiencing mortality, mankind would be resurrected and receive immortality.

God is a being of free will. Nobody tells God what to do. He does all that he does of his own volition. For mankind to become more like God, it was necessary that mankind too be given free will to learn to choose good over evil. You cannot force a being to be a God. A being has to learn to acquire goodness as part of his character through the medium of free will. Only then will he truly be a good being. When mankind learns that goodness is the only true way to become eternally happy and to gain power, wisdom, knowledge, etc. he will always choose good over evil. He then becomes more like God.

So mankind was place here on this earth and given free will to choose between good or evil. God does not use force to make us be good because you cannot progress in character under a government of tyranny. It simply doesn't work. Free will brings about a great judgment in the end whether you will be worth to enter the kingdom of heaven or not. Because we are free to choose, we are also held accountable for our own actions. But remember that God will not allow the wicked to rule in heaven but they must inherit a lower kingdom based on their choices.

We made the choice to follow God in the pre-mortal existence and were allowed to come to this earth and progress by receiving a body. Satan and those who followed him, were cast out into the earth but were denied a body of flesh and bones.

Revelation 12:7-11
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Those who were on the side of Michael were all of us who have come to this earth and received a body. We were once valiant in the pre-mortal world of spirits. Some of us will be among those who in verse 11, will overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb. Only mortals who have sinned are in need of the blood of the Lamb. It is not available to Satan and his followers because they rebelled against God in his very presence.

God is not to blame for the choices we make of our own free will and choice. We are accountable for our own acts. Thankfully we do have the opportunity through the blood of the Lamb to repent of our sins and gain forgiveness. But if we don't repent and follow the Lord, we will be subject to the full extent of God's law of justice.

Matthew 4:17
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
