Even thought Ted Cruz is not eligible for the presidency due to him being a non-natural born Citizen born in a foreign sovereignty to a foreign national father, I agree with Palin on this. Cruz showed courage standing up to the elitist who defy and ignore the will of the American people who put them in office. They are essentially bullies who need to be voted out in favor of strong conservatives and strict constitutionalists.
Gov. Palin: Encourage Your Kids to Learn from Sen. Cruz - Conservatives4Palin
As we were running around as a family yesterday after school and at the dinner table, we had the radio on for our kids so they could understand and we could discuss the remarkable, historic, intelligent and courageous feat from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah).
If you look at the word encourage, it has the word "courage". And that is what we must do for our kids– instill them with the courage to stand up to those "bullies" who would belittle them and tell them to sit down and stop fighting.
Sen. Cruz handled just such a situation from Senate Majority Leader, Democrat Harry Reid, who tried, unsucessfully, to take the floor from Sen. Cruz.
Said Cruz, "If the majority leader is going to cut off and muzzle us…We will not yield to the Majority Leader until the Majority Leader yields to the American people."
