If the Ukrainians are too successful then Russia is once again going to demonstrate it's power.

The mutually agreed upon rules of America's war with Russia need to be observed more now than at any time of this war.

I would guess that putting a few thousand out of power would be considered to be within the rules or perhaps bordering on a violation of the same. We'll have to wait to see how Russia reacts.
