Today, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Edward J. Markey dropped details about her plan.

It is not hyperbole to contend that GND is likely the most ridiculous and un-American plan that’s ever been presented by an elected official to voters. Not merely because it would necessitate a communist strongman to institute, but also because the societal costs are unfathomable. The risible historic analogies Markey and Ocasio-Cortez rely on, the building of the interstate highway system or moon landing, are nothing but trifling projects compared to a plan that overhauls modernity by voluntarily destroying massive amounts of wealth and technology. That is the GND.

While some of the specifics need to be ironed out, the plan’s authors assure us that this “massive transformation of our society” needs some “clear goals and a timeline.” The timeline is ten years. Here are some of the goals:

• Ban affordable energy. GND calls for the elimination of all fossil fuel energy production, the lifeblood of American industry and life, which includes not only all oil but also natural gas — one of the cheapest sources of American energy, and one of the reasons the United States has been able to lead the world in carbon-emissions reduction.
• Eliminate nuclear energy. The GND also calls for eliminating all nuclear power, one of the only productive and somewhat affordable “clean” energy sources available to us, in 11 years. This move would purge around 20 percent of American energy generation so you can rely on intermittent wind for your energy needs...

So no planes in the sky, train tracks that must go from city to city, thus lowering the high speed trains, but also, no more cruise ships because 1. must have solar or air power, both can be dead in the water, when there is no wind or the sun has set. Also you cant have clean water on the ship, because you cant boil the seawater as they do when they burn fuel to propel the ship. You cant cook the food, because there is no natural gas so you eat peanuts and celery sticks for your 7 day cruise. Sure does sound like a great time on those Liberal Mega Ships.

The more you look at the plan, the more you see that Cortez has a complete disregard for facts and a gross lack of understanding about economics. This is more radical leftist plans to destroy America by using global warming solutions as a cover.

She claims that government will fund private sector global warming solutions (remember Solyndra and others that cost billions) and government will take an equity stake in the private corporations and in return will net revenue. This is the very definition of crony capitalism and fascism.

She also claimed that FDR's socialist policies lowered unemployment. Being ignorant of history, she doesn't know that most males of working age were in the military and not looking for jobs.

She also thinks it's okay for the federal reserve to just print all the money needed for her schemes. This would be nearly impossible to recover from. The plan proves that even if they took money from the 1%, it still wouldn't be enough to cover the costs.

Bottom line is that we would have a complete breakdown of our economy and we would wake up in a socialist country, heading down the same dead end many others did.

The plan is to use global warming to destroy this country.

They are teaching school children that we are doomed unless we adopt their radical policies. Global warming is merely a weapon being used by the left to further their sick agenda.
