yes...it is true....gun store owners are not the bad guys. I know, you anti gunners really hate gun store owners and think they are actually worse than actual criminals...but the truth is they are normal people simply selling a tools for self defense, sport, hunting and collecting. Actual criminals...are actual criminals who prey on innocent people. I know for you anti gunners your brains can't grasp that distinction...so here is a story of a gun store owner you won't here about in the anti gun news media...

Gun Store Owner Averts Possible Mass Shooting, Shows Holes In NICS System

An Ohio gun store owner averted a possible mass shooting Monday when he refused to sell a gun to a 25-year-old man who just seemed “off” to him. When the man grew angry and left the store, the gun store owner called police.

.

MSM have an agenda: socialism and diversity. If folks have guns Government can not make them salves. For example Germans have no guns, Polish-Jewess commie Merkel laughing floods their country with ISIS fighters and no one can stop her.

Only the free possession of guns can make folks free.

The legal problem I see here is that anti-gunners will use this story as an excuse to impose on ALL gun owners the responsibility to use ESP to read the mind of all gun buyers, and if they end up selling a gun to a mass murderer, they can be sued and put out of business.

Yeah, Pedro Vargas had his gun for self defense and sport. Even got a concealed carry permit for it.

Police believe a shootout in Hialeah that left 7 dead, including the gunman, might be one of the deadliest mass shootings in the city’s history. The ordeal lasted approximately eight hours, ending when the SWAT team took down the suspected gunman that had barricaded himself in an apartment holding two people hostage.

Victims And Gunman Identified In Hialeah Mass Shooting

I think it was the SWAT team that eventually revoked it.

Yeah.......ignore the 1,500,000 times Americans use guns to stop violent criminals....and in many cases mass shooters...according to bill clinton's Department of Justice study.......

Under current law that kid is a good guy/responsible gun buyer. The gun store owner could have sold him 50 guns without having to worry about anything.

No twit......you didn't read the story did you....the kid had an involuntary commitment in his record......that means he can't get a gun but it got through the system...twit.

Howard had a prior history of mental illness including an involuntary commitment, which should theoretically have led to him being classified as a prohibited person in the FBI’s NICS background check system

Unfortunately, the NICS database that gun control groups pretend is some sort of a magic shield against bad people getting guns is actually very porous.

The institute who failed to report this kid's commitment should be kept accountable. The more names are accurately entered into the NICS the better.

I remember the time in America ('50s - '60s) when buying a long gun was as simple as buying a pair of shoes. The only ID required was a birth certificate or a draft-card as proof of minimum age eighteen. If you paid with cash the receipt was made out to "Cash."

In 1957 I bought a souvenir Walther P38 from a roadside gas-station/general store in Maine for $50 cash with zero paperwork.

Gun crimes and misuse incidents were comparatively rare back then.

Yes...I agree....but considering criminals don't go through background checks....since they get people with clean records to buy their guns for them thereby making NICS useless....

Which is why people who sell guns to criminals need to be held accountable.

Yes, people caught trafficking in guns should be arrested....the normal gun owner selling a gun, once, is not a problem.....and you don't need anything other than normal police techniques, currently being used, to catch them.

If you sell a gun to someone who cannot legally own a gun, and you don't run a background check before selling it to them, then you should be legally accountable for any crimes committed with that gun.

Which is why people who sell guns to criminals need to be held accountable.
Do you mean, knowingly?

If not, would you hold someone accountable who sells a butcher knife or a hunting knife to someone who commits murder with it?

How about someone who sells a can of rat poison to someone who kills another human with it? Accountable?

The tiniest percentage of guns are bought by individuals who intend to use them in a criminal manner. Conversely, the vast majority of guns sold in America are purchased by law-abiding citizens the purposes of sport, hunting or defense.

Wrong.....forcing normal people to get a background check when they sell one gun is stupid......criminals, if they want that particular gun, will just get the same person with a clean record to buy that gun from the individual....and all you have done is added to the cost and forced that individual to be a cop.

Did you think about that...or at all? The only reason the anti gun nut leadership wants to force individual gun owners to do a background check for individual sales......is because they want universal gun registration...and the only way to push that is to get universal background checks first.......

So no....Licensed gun dealers have to do background checks......making criminals out of normal, law abiding gun owners...no way......

Every story I have posted about actual gun runners getting caught had one thing in common.....they did not catch the actual criminal gun runner because he did background checks on criminals...they caught him when another criminal turned into an informant and the police did an undercover sting...

so your entire point on background checks is not only unecessary...it is stupid.

There were 357,000,000 million guns in private hands between 2014-2015.......and less than 8,124 of those guns were used in gun murder.....

That means that just over 356,991,876 million guns were not used to commit murder....they myth of criminals buying illegal guns from the guy selling his old hunting rifle is just that...a myth......used to push for universal background checks to finally get the Gold Standard of gun control....universal gun registration.....
