I am guessing a 40-some odd year old isn't a student.

Well, thanks to rdean, we know it is a well established fact that conservatives are uneducated buffoons who fear science and don't support higher education. With these truths being known, we can therefore conclude the shooter is a liberal...


All kidding aside, the guy is obviously disturbed. My thoughts and condolences go out to the victims and their families.
