Guns? Shouldn't we consider a ban on Martial Arts too!?? They're very deadly.

Folks....guns are bad enough. But what about martial arts? They're deadly also. A person trained extensively in an effective style can be a deadly efficient threat even unarmed. Maybe we should ban them?

It's happened before. Japan once banned anyone from teaching Japanese jiujitsu to any non Japanese person.

One man disobeyed that while living in Brazil. He taught someone in the family tree of the legendary Gracie family and they evolved it to Brazilian JiuJitsu....which founded the UFC and showed to be the most effective 1 on 1 fighting style in the world, regularly choking out kickboxers and wrestlers and karate experts.

Maybe we should be like Japan was and put a ban on teaching martial arts? If we remove guns from bad guys they might learn how to kill with their bare hands.

Yeah....sounds just as stupid as a gun ban doesn't it?

Silly thread. If more people were into martial arts less would feel the need to arm themselves with multiple firearms.

We have five percent of the world’s population and we own nearly half of the world’s civilian guns. Our gun murder rate is 20 times higher than other developed nations. Let's keep that going and be the biggest thugs on the planet.

Yeah but if we get guns out of criminals hands what's to say they don't learn a highly effective martial art where they can easily kill with bare hands?

Japan did it years ago. We should too.

It's difficult to believe that this type of stupidity is naturally occurring.

Well Japan's government once banned it.

And it's no more stupid than Obama telling a rape victim a gun wouldn't have made a difference for her and she's lucky her rapist wasn't armed.
