My Marines houseguest just shoved off and is going to an all-day breakfast at H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum that's about 5 miles from here. "H.E.A.R.T.S." stands for

“Helping Every American Remember Through Serving” Love and remembrance to my late father, who served as a Marine in 3 wars.​

You won't be sorry. It's totally cool. This past 2 years they built a second national Vietnam memorial to honor those who served. It's just north of the city on Highway 75, which is accessible from I-45.

They have t-shirts for all the different branches of service, and they're on about a 15-acre area all dedicated to not only Military servicepersons but all Veterans who served their country. I love the place.
