Have you considered what life will be like in post-democracy America?

Very often on here we are told that democracy is bad and that is why the Founding Fathers made us a Republic instead
Why this idea a country cannot be both a republic and a democracy? I think it comes from one bullshit Federalist essay that people have leapt upon to excuse the way democracy is restricted/implemented in the US.

Trump will get elected, Democracy lives. If Harris wins goodbye democracy and hello Marxism.
You should get better sources...

In Marxist theory, a new democratic society will arise through the organised actions of an international working class, enfranchising the entire population and freeing up humans to act without being bound by the labour market. Wikipedia

It's beyond needing evidence.

You don't get to lie, sigh, ask why, or cry.

Domestic Enemy #1 Donald Trump is going to be defeated so badly. It's a beautiful thing.

I hope you stay on the board and take it like a man, when that does not happen.

We need a major housecleaning in DC if this nation is to survive. Kamala won't and can't do that, Trump has a much better chance to clean it up because he is an outsider to the DC cabal
My cynical view is that the many problems this country faces will not be solved by voting.

In a direct democracy the people decide on policies without any intermediary or representative, whereas in a representative democracy people vote for representatives who then enact policy initiatives. Every time the Biden Administration ( Obama 2.0 ) ends up in the Federal or Supreme Court, they loose. Obama does not like our Constitution. Early on when he was elected to the Illinois State Government, he supported changing the US Government to European Socialism.

Actually, the government wins more in COTUS than it loses. It wins most of the time on the big ones.

I'm guessing you've never actually read the Federalist Papers. I've only read parts of it. What you will discover is that the founders/writers of those papers were much more precise with their semantics than people today. They basically said what they meant and meant what they said. They knew the differences in the many forms of government because they studied history and learned from it. They knew the difference between a democracy and a constitutional republic, thus Ben Franklin answered that they had founded a republic, if we could keep it.

Labels are so inadequate.

Yes, we are a democratic republic, representatives elected democratically.

Elections can be easily manipulated, especially since computers became involved in the process. Both Donkeys and Elephants have manipulated elections, but the one in 2020 was done beautifully.

Actually, with the observation in place, no computers can be compromised.

Accept that Trump and MAGA will lose greatly because 60% of America does not want them.

Not really. The Trump cult frauds dialed the cheating up to "11" in 2020, but still failed at stealing it.

Unfortunately, not enough Trump cult frauds went to prison over it, so they didn't learn their lesson. Republicans have pretty much announced the Republican cheating will be dialed up to "13" this time around.

Democrats know that winning elections isn't enough. We have to win them by a margin so big that they can't be stolen.
