Here Are The Redacted Copies Of The Comey Memos

Show me the FOIA request. There's a legal process for FOIA, Comey was outside government, hell he even said that releasing conversations of the president is a prosecutable offense. Of course he wasn't talking about himself at the time.

.

Actually FOIA is just a process amendment to the existing law.

As indicated by its long title, FOIA was actually extracted from its original home in Section 3 of the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). Section 3 of the APA, as enacted in 1946, gave agencies broad discretion concerning the publication of governmental records.

BREAKING: FBI Admits Comey Memos — THAT HE LEAKED — Were Classified Material!

It was posted Comey gave a "redacted" version to his friend the professor. So no classified information was actually LEAKED.

The Department of Justice released copies of the so-called Comey memos to congressional leaders on Thursday. In the documents, the former FBI director detailed his early encounters with newly-minted President Donald Trump.

Journalists with The Associated Press and other news outlets obtained redacted copies of the letters, which can be seen below.

The memos were released just days after House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) threatened to subpoena the DOJ to obtain them. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had asked for more time to “evaluate the consequences” of their release on Monday.

Read redacted copies of the memos below:

See the 15 pages at the above link.

And the "memos" are TRUTHFUL because?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Because Comey contemporaneously shared his conversations with coworkers right after his conversations with Trump. That's why Trump is trying so hard to also discredit those contemporaneous witnesses.

Comey contemporaneously shared his conversations with coworkers right after his conversations with Trump.?!?!

The federal government has long established that it's papers and documents, are the peoples papers and documents. That refers to the contents, and not the physical originals, which remain government property as guardians

So who authorize Comey to be in possession of government documents once his employment was terminated? Who authorized him to share it? Who released him form his NDA? Short answer, no one, which makes him a thief. It also could make the professor guilty of receiving stolen property and entering into a conspiracy to make an unauthorized release of the documents to the media.

.

Who authorized Comey to be in posession of government documents? FOIA
Who authorized him to share it? FOIA
Who released him from his NDA? FOIA

Short answer, FOIA makes all government documents (with exceptions of classified and work product) public documents available to anybody.

Unless classified. Funny how that works. And lo and behold at least four of the documents were classified. OOOOPS!

Dana Boente's notes on the Comey memos were marked "TOP SECRET". Only to have the classifier admit he was wrong to have marked them that way, and a cover letter issued that the Comey notes by Dana Boente were marked "top secret" in error.

Oops....

Comey did not release anything. He has not seen the memos since he left!

Are you really that far removed from reality? The Republicans were threatening to impeach the Director if he did not release them. Then immediately leaked them to the public.

Comey is actually glad they released them because they back what he is saying!

Irrelevant.

How do you know the same guy who marked Comeys memos "secret" and "confidential" wasn't the one who marked Boentes notes "TOP SECRET"?

We know that TOP SECRET classification was wrong. And had to be reversed, and a cover letter stating the memos were improperly classified.

Once again, show me the FOIA request.

Who would have ever thought that someone would make memo's that made themselves look good, and the man he thought shouldn't have been elected look bad?

Really?

Really, how did he send them to the law professor if he didn't have possession of them? Hard to do if he hasn't seen them since he left.

What part of that don't you understand?

At the time Comey shared the stolen memos he was not part of any government agency, he was fired and was not authorized to retain government property. What do you fail to understand about that.

ALL documents are classified as Secret unless otherwise classified. That is the DEFAULT mode. OOOOOPS!

I don't think there is going to much new here Comey has already described them in his book and interviews. The really interesting stuff is redacted.

Flynn resigned on Feb. 13, 2017, after lying to the vice president about his contacts with Russian officials before Trump entered office. He has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.

Why is Trump still defending this guy this morning?

So General Michael Flynn’s life can be totally destroyed while Shadey James Comey can Leak and Lie and make lots of money from a third rate book (that should never have been written). Is that really the way life in America is supposed to work? I don’t think so!

Trump also doesn't have a problem putting journalists in prison and having them roughed up by real convicts.

“They spend a couple days in jail, make a new friend, and they are ready to talk,” Comey quoted the president as saying.

See the 15 pages at the above link. There seems to be great consistency between what Comey has already stated publicly and what is contained in his memos.

The president asked Comey whether Andrew McCabe, the deputy FBI director who Trump fired last month, had an issue with him on several occasions, according to the memos.

“I was pretty rough on him and his wife during the campaign,” Trump reportedly said, referring to his attacks on McCabe about the handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email and political donations McCabe’s wife received from Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D).

Then he fired the guy with 2 days before his retirement? Yea Don, you were VERY hard on the guy.

The only reason I don't mind is this McCabe is a Republican. Serves him right whatever happens.

.

As agency head Comey was empowered by FOA and 3 APA to release them to any person INCLUDING HIMSELF. Comey had copies, not the originals, which the FBI retained, and gave to congress.
