This seems to be a pretty popular thing with a lot of people in this country. I guess that is what happens when we cease to believe that the people have a right to self-govern themselves through the democratic process but since this is ok to do why can't the president directly terminate the employment of any government employee who holds a job in a department whose job it is to enforce unconstitutional laws?

We can just fire every employee in the ATF. Alcohol Tobacco Firearms! Prohibition is overcwithnso why do we need that and why do we need big burly men storming high school bathrooms for kids that smoke. The left wants talk about how deportation is a waste of money but this has got to be the biggest waste of all. We can also end the enforcement of federal gun laws.

We can then do the same with every other government agency. Cut federal employment roles drastically without congresses approval.

This fails as a straw man fallacy.

'The left' does not believe that deportation is a 'waste' of money.

What is a waste of both time and money is to seek to 'deport' 12 million undocumented immigrants, all of whom are entitled to due process, many of whom are legitimate refugees and asylum seekers, who in the context of the right to due process, are allowed to pursue their applications as refugees or asylees; consequently, this would take billions of dollars and decades to accomplish, even if it's possible to accomplish at all.

In addition, laws passed by Congress are Constitutional until a court rules otherwise (US V. Morrison), therefore, the ATF and other Federal agencies, departments, and entities are acting in accordance with laws and policies that are in fact Constitutional.

Otherwise, your post makes no sense.
