The flag is offensive to me, but that's not the point and I have to support other's right to fly it. I am glad it is federally banned, since it is a symbol of a national disgrace (to me, that is), but to those who deny it was a banner in support of slavery and disenfranchisement, it is a flag of honor. This will never change for either side, I suspect. What's more important is that if one American loses a right, we all lose it. On private property, freedom of expression is a basic right. Those of us who don't like the symbol can just look the other way.
