I get your overall point AF, but I have to ask, is there some connection between state gun control bills and the federal government I'm missing here? Why the reference to Obama in a thread about a Missouri bill?

Plenty of states are drafting these types of bills just as plenty of other states are loosening gun regulations. The federal government has no control over this legislation unless it defies federal law.

That's how it works and how it's always worked. If you don't like the laws imposed by the state you live in, you have the right to move to a state more amenable to you.

Much ado about nothing really. The bill will never pass. Not in Missouri.
