Arne Duncan wants schools to become "safe havens". Not punishing black students for their misbehavior will certainly bring this about.
Oioiboio, she's from brooklyn, the no english speaking city in newyoik.
And your comment on the question posed by the OP?
Hahahaha. I gave up trying to make sense of American politics long ago. You cannot legislate reality out of existence, as the Sovirt Union found out.
What's the prob, daddio.......
Is it the right thing to decide on punishments due to one's race....or due to the infraction?
Why all the tap-dancing????
I read "Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department," by J. Christian Adams some time ago, and have posted about the racialist policies of this administration.....and, regularly, there is more proof of Adams' revelations.
Just saw this.....
1. " ....a new memo from the Departments of Justice and Education that instructs public schools throughout the country to cease punishing disruptive students if they fall into certain racial categories, such as black or Hispanic.
2. ....it is a violation of federal law for schools to punish certain races more than others, even if those punishments stem from completely neutral rules.
3. ....equal numbers of black students and white students should be punished for tardiness, even if black students are more often tardy than white students. (RELATED: DOJ to schools: Its racist to punish students for behaving badly, texting in class)
4. Schools also violate Federal law when they evenhandedly implement facially neutral policies and practices that, although not adopted with the intent to discriminate, nonetheless have an unjustified effect of discriminating against students on the basis of race.
Examples of policies that can raise disparate impact concerns include policies that impose mandatory suspension, expulsion, or citation (e.g., ticketing or other fines or summonses) upon any student who commits a specified offense such as being tardy to class, being in possession of a cellular phone, being found insubordinate, acting out, or not wearing the proper school uniform.
5. ...education experts ... raised serious concerns about the ramifications of changing school disciplinary procedures to engineer equal outcomes across the races.
a. Its ridiculous to assign quotas for discipline based on race, she said. If we did that, for one thing, wed have to believe that Asian students are severely under-disciplined.
b. ...the letters policies, if implemented, would actually harm black children, by making the classrooms they inhabit more chaotic.
6. As best I can tell, they are telling schools that even if you have policies that are clearly neutral, that are clearly evenhanded, that are clearly designed to create safe environments for students and educators, DOJ still might come down on you like a ton of bricks,
7. Kids of the favored race know they can get away with more, so they misbehave more, and the well-behaved kids lose out on instruction because the teacher is busy trying to manage unruly students she cant send to the principals office, said Pullmann.

How can the media ignore this?
How can anyone send their children to government schools?
How does anyone decide to ever vote for Liberal/Progressive/Democrats?
Why would anyone become a teacher????
Asking my Liberal colleagues......is it just me...or is this both insane, and as racist as one can get?

both courses of action have benefits and detriments. its just another variant of affirmative action. is it worth the extra price to get more blacks into the middle class where they can model a better way of life to their friends and family? maybe. is it fair to those who have to 'pay' for AA? of course not but social engineering always screws someone.
our western society likes to think we can 'fix' poor and coloured people by 'helping' them with lower standards. we pretend it works and ignore the costs because it makes us feel good and slightly superior. it certainly is not the only delusions we hold dear. can art music and sports defend their position?

For or against the policy......and why?
I'm just saying they are enslaving and torturing people and you never even brought it up.
Its nowhere near comprehensive enough in my opinion.
For or against the policy......and why?
Definitely for it. Why would I want it to be against me like it has been for centuries.

Definitely for it. Why would I want it to be against me like it has been for centuries.
Why?
Because of the insanity of refusing to establish discipline.
I understand that the Left has already eviscerated education in this nation, but for any to endorse a discipline policy based on skin color is a posteriori evidence of mental instability.
When the books are finally closed on the factors which destroyed America, folks like you will have a prominent position in the analysis.

I outlined why already. Centuries of discrimination based on racial prejudice is entrenched in the American perceptions of Black people. You get what you expect. To a hammer everything looks like a nail. Change your mindset and you will get different results. Punitive is only serving to create more problems and more prejudice. In other words how is your current system working for you?

So we can chalk you up as one who sees rectitude in judging folks by their skin color.
Interesting epitaph for your tombstone; certainly deserving.

You can chalk me up, write me up, or whatever other way you have of adding me to your insignificant lists. There is nothing wrong with understanding that color plays a large part in how we perceive people in America. Certain ethnicities are cast as the villains and fools like you play along with the game mostly unaware you are being used to line the pockets of some rich guy.
