Another man (Andy Garcia) gets credit for a loser's (Dustin Hoffman) rescue of the passengers of a plane crash which includes news reporter (Gena Davis). The movie is about a lowlife, a real loser (Hoffman) who is the first person at a plane crash. Although he becomes the heroic rescuer, his motives were far from noble. Another person (Garcia) stumbles on the scene and get's the credit for the rescue and becomes the hero, although he did nothing.
What unfolds is a satire that is at times very funny and inspiring. Hoffman gave a wonderful performance which overshadowed his costars. At times the movie drags a bit and the score is bit chesszy. However, the movie will bring out the hero in even the most cynical person.

I recommend the movie to any one who likes Hoffman's work as he delivered a great performance. Unfortunately, the movie is not available for free on Prime, Netflix or most subscription service. It is available for viewing for 3 or 4 dollars on Prime, Xfinity, and a number of pay per view services.
