Christianity Today (an evangelical magizine) made a moral case that Trump needs to go. He responded by proving its point.
.
President Donald Trump’s response to Christianity Today’s moral argument for his removal from office illustrated the very reason the prominent evangelical publication concluded he has to go in the first place.
.
The morning after the Christian magazine published an editorial written by editor-in-chief Mark Galli, titled “Trump Should Be Removed from Office,” Trump hit back with tweets that didn’t try to rebut Galli’s reasoning, but instead offered smears and explicitly transactional self-defenses.
.
Trump began by falsely describing Christianity Today, which has a mainstream audience, as “far left” and “very ‘progressive.’” (Although it’s true the publication has been critical of Trump for years, that’s very different from being far left.) He claimed, without evidence, that the magazine “has been doing poorly.” He took gratuitous shots at the Democratic presidential candidates, comparing their faith unfavorably with his own — and ignoring the fact that if the Senate removes him from office, Vice President Mike Pence, not a Democrat, will take his place.
.
Christianity Today “knows nothing about reading a perfect transcript of a routine phone call and would rather have a Radical Left nonbeliever, who wants to take your religion & your guns, than Donald Trump as your President,” Trump tweeted. “No President has done more for the Evangelical community, and it’s not even close. You’ll not get anything from those Dems on stage.”
.
Trump, who is not known to be a voracious reader, ended his response by getting the initials of the publication wrong.
.
“I won’t be reading ET again!” he wrote.
Yeah, a typo certainly overrides a legit and accurate response.
Trump is certainly supported by evangelicals Doesn't that fly in the face of pussy grabbing,,holding children in jail ,cheating on 3 wives etc etc ?

Turn the other cheek and forgive thy neighbor of their sins...
Dems been turning the other cheek for too long now And what do we get?? That POS McConnell and Trump

You had eight years of Obama before Trump, so ya know you lose at times and win at times...

Also McConnell does a mean ads impression of Harry Reid with holding bills up...

Run a candidate that can beat Trump that swing voters will vote for and no Warren and Sanders are not it...

Not sure that is the case.
Having said that, if this impeachment was bipartisan against Trump, he may have ended up red in the face.
This was a bipartisan vote against the democrats, which speaks volumes on how political this became with them.
In fact, they lost a congressman over the vote who flipped and became a republican.
If that isn't a bitch slap on Pelosi, I don't know what is.

Historians will see through the democrat charade and give Trump the respect that he earned.

So Thomas, you can sit on your fat ass over in England and besmirch our president while your
country sucks big time. How much do you pay for a liter of gas, dude? VAT, do you have that too?

Biden is tainted and has the age issue like so many of the leading candidates...

Had he been ten years younger then yes he had a good chance and who knows maybe he will pull it off but right now I just see another 2016 happening again...

Your party better hope the Green Candidate is not strong and Blacks vote this time around in key swing States...

You must have a miserable life to be so concerned with our POTUS, he’s not really concerned with your opinion of him and most Americans don’t really care what you think either! The Brits have enough to deal with now and I suspect you’re insignificant when it comes to finding solutions. Maybe you worry about Britain’s problems and GTF on with your life as a everyday whiner...it’s obvious that’s your best attribute....

For the record it will be. For Democrats and their mainstream media it won’t. It will be carried on and lied about just like the ‘lying about sex’ line is used to cover for Clinton’s perjury impeachment.

In Mr. Clinton's case, they did actually manage to get him on one genuine, albeit minor, crime, of committing perjury in lying about his sexual activities. Though he wasn't removed from office, this did get him disbarred for life, preventing him from ever again practicing as a lawyer.

For all their drama and theatrics, they didn't actually get even that much against Mr. Trump.
They didn’t get anything against trump. As for Clinton’s perjury, compare his legal punishment vs Roger Stone.

What role do you see for the son in a Biden administration? His resume would indicate that he would be interested in becoming Drug Czar, or perhaps ambassador to Columbia.

CNN is like Pravda, or the BBC in their one sided biased pretense at "journalism". Not living here you wouldn't have any way of knowing that, however.
You would have a whole different perspective on the US and the media while watching it from outside the US.

CNN is really the main voice from America available abroad.

I don't think Fox is available in England, and only Armed Forces Radio has the EIB network outside of America. And then, only the first hour.

A British citizen citing a British source, regarding how our country is and should be run.

We kicked Britain's ass very hard, twice, over them trying to tell us how to run our country, in 1776 and again in 1812. I'm beginning to think that they are way overdue for another serious ass-kicking.

Actually it was 1781, and 1814, but who is counting?

I'm getting my “hilariously inaccurate information” by reading where it is explicitly stated in the Constitution.
False, you made it up. It says nothing about a speedy impeachment trial. Not a word.

The Sixth Amendment explicitly affirms that one charged with a crime has a right to a speedy trial. At no time did I ever state that this is necessarily applicable with the force of law to the impeachment process against a President, but as a matter of logical and ethical principle, it certainly seems relevant; and it certainly seems highly improper and unethical of Congresscriminal Pelosi to willfully obstruct a trial from taking place in a timely manner, after initiating the process that would lead to that trial.

In fact, in this matter, I think it would be entirely appropriate to characterize Congresscriminal Pelosi's behavior in this matter as obstruction of justice, and to bring criminal charges against her on that basis.

Biden is far to smart than to put kin in his WH Trump is an AH

1812 was a draw. Get your facts straight. Oh yeah, that's right; I'm talking to a Trumpkin. :doubt:

It was a draw? I must have missed those British troops when I drove to work in the morning. Where are they hiding?

Oh. So our independence from London wasn't assured, and the Indian barrier to Westward expansion wasn't removed? When did those things not happen? Oh wait, they didn't. Looks like we won what we were fighting for, doesn't it?
The Napoleonic Wars were over, so the reasons for the war were moot. Given that they had troops to send elsewhere, they could have launched a major invasion, but said "why bother?" Hence, a draw.

Apparently you have never fought in a battle. If you are not on the field of battle at the end, there was no draw. Maybe you should look up that word you keep misusing.

ignoring the fact that if the Senate removes him from office, Vice President Mike Pence, not a Democrat, will take his place..
That would be a very temporary situation, ed, I think we both know that.

If the libs get enough votes to dump Trump, they will have enough to dump Pence as well. Within a few days after Trump leaving Washington, Pence would follow him. Pence would realize he might as well skedaddle too, after pardoning the Trump family.

Pence has been described as a "real piece of shit" by your breed, ed.

They haven't yet begun any proceedings against Mr. Pence. Given how hard and how long they've been going after Mr. Trump, and have yet to succeed at removing him from office, it is a safe bet that if they ever succeed, Mr. Pence will occupy that office long enough to appoint a new Vice President, who will then take over as President in the very unlikely event that they ever succeed in removing Mr. Pence.

There is no plausible path by which impeachment of a Republican President results in a Democrat taking over as President.

So you think the Columbian ambassadorship is in Hunter's future? If Sleepy Joe were to put the ne'er-do-well son in Bogota, he'll be far enough away not to cause him any headaches?

Just remember Divided we fall, and this pos in our WH now is the greatest divider ever

After repubs win back the house as a result of this democrat impeachment charade, they will officially vote to have this impeachment expunged from the record.

There is no constitutional process to do that.
I’m sure there is. Or will be since democrats make up rules to fit the moment.
