He is polling at a Negative 75% with them, when the GOP nominee typically has to win 35-40% of this block to win the White House.

You cite 54% and then say they outvote men by 10 points. That would be 54% to 44%, which is only 98%. Do you really think we have 2% transgenders in the US that vote?

That's generally the way it has gone for decades, the party "elite" in both major parties decide who gets the nomination and rank and file get all warm fuzzy with the illusion that they had a say in the matter, the Democrats have taken it to the extreme this cycle, so even the illusion doesn't exist for their rank and file anymore (well except for the ones that are REALLY delusional).

The Republicans are at least attempting to maintain the illusion, heck there's even a tiny chance that the GOP "outsiders" might even upset the apple cart, which at the very least would make things far more interesting.
