Bill asked her over and over again to marry him, but Hillary steadfastly refused until she failed the DC bar exam, and then she realized her path to a political career lay in marrying a rising star in the Arkansas Democratic Party, and she has ridden him like a work animal all the way from obscurity to a run for the presidency.
