Sanders would have gotten steam rolled and buried on election night if he were the nominee--LOL You're paying way too much attention to National polling data that has turned into a world wide disaster. Only 1 in 10 people in this country will answer unknown callers. Most of us have cell phones that pollsters have no access to. Online polls are a joke, because one participant can vote several times, others are tied into donation sites so people won't bother with them. Text polls again, same person can vote for their favorite candidate a 100 times. Exit polling. Not too many are willing to stand in line after they vote to talk to a complete stranger and tell them how they voted and why. Most people don't think it's anyone's business as to who they voted for and why. At any rate, the next time you see a National people read the internals. How many participants to get a great laugh. I've seen several polls with 700 to 1200 participants that is supposed to be reflective of the sentiment of 230 million voters in this country. In comparison Barack Obama defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2008 primary by a mere 41,622 votes. Hillary Clinton also beat Trump in the popular vote by 2,504,664. Bernie Sanders comes in LAST place well behind both of them.

People make a lot of money writing books about politicians. I think Bush 2 had 15 books come out on him. Does it mean they're all true? I doubt it.
