Every major city in the US has the same problems with homelessness. The biggest problems are in CA, TX, and FL. Don't forget that there are many children caught up in this problem. Our President signed up to represent every US citizen, not just the people that voted for him.

"Homelessness in the United States increased after the Great Recession.
Causes of homelessness in the United States include lack of affordable housing, divorce, lawful eviction, negative cash flow, post traumatic stress disorder, foreclosure, fire, natural disasters (hurricane, earthquake, or flood), mental illness, physical disability, having no family or supportive relatives, substance abuse, lack of needed services, elimination of pensions and unemployment entitlements, no or inadequate income sources (such as Social Security, stock dividends, or annuity), poverty (no net worth), gambling, unemployment, and low-paying jobs. Homelessness in the United States affects many segments of the population, including families, children, domestic violence victims, ex-convicts, veterans, and the aged. Efforts to assist the homeless include federal legislation, non-profit efforts, increased access to healthcare services, supportive housing, and affordable housing."

I think he thinks like me-he represents those who help themselves. You know, a hand up, not a hand out.

There is no denying that a problem exists. But being in denial makes it worse. That old bat should talk. I lived in the UK. Go to London and see for yourself.

Today the real unemployment rate is the lowest it has ever been, yet there are still people on welfare, which was created because of the War on Poverty. Since the "Wars" conception 22 trillion dollars has been spent, that is more than all the military wars that the US has ever been in. Our nationals debt is over 22 trillion dollars. Could there be a correlation between welfare spending and our debt? You can count on it. Stop paying assholes to sit on their liberal lazy asses, and soon they will be looking for work, to put food on the table, because it just isnt given for them to sit on their ass, thus creating new tax revenues, thus paying down the debt faster, or those shit for brains will be out stealing from others, thus getting shot, thus removing themselves from society, thus no longer taking welfare, and the National Debt goes down also. Win, win...

Also that teaches the kids that jobs are much better than welfare. Just ask Ben Carson, Morgan Freeman, and Oprah.

And I suppose the RED South Isn't a Welfare problem? Let's start with Kentucky. McConnell's domain.

Why is it when FACTS are presented, all of a sudden the marginalization of welfare becomes apparent? Just because Kentucky has welfare every other state should have it also?

There are too many jobs not being filled because some liberal assholes just dont want to fucking work.

What causes poverty sprawl ??? Government intervention is what causes it, and it does this because there are to many people who try to control the government power for their own agenda's or they tie the government's solutional hand in it all if not what they want.

The wanta be controllers only have self interest to gain, and so they try to work the powerful U.S. government to their own selfish advantage while in control of it. This then leaves many on the sidelines begging for crumbs or taxed to death trying to pay for it all, and all the while the wealthy have enough money to separate themselves from it all. What a freaking clown show is right, but it is of an evil clown, and not that of a good clown we are witnessing.
