Considering the large contingent of congressional Republicans that spat on the American Flag by condoning the attempted coup by the trump Nazis' wannabe führer, forcing them to pledge their allegiance to that same flag would be meaningless and compound their hypocrisy.

The Democrats did the right thing, trump's Nazis should avoid the pledge as well as any other hypocritical action that belies their true allegiance to their wannabe führer trump's authoritarian fascism..
