Nonsense. They will move to something else. Deadlier drugs. Bath salts. Skunk. Even the Netherlands banned skunk.

Also, you don't think criminals would be dumb enough to keep their weapons in a location where the police will find them (if there's a door to door sweep of every house), do you? The word would spread very quickly from the law-abiding citizens alone, never mind the criminals.

My thinking is that police will often know where weapons might be stored, but I agree that if the weapons are held in secret caches, then going to homes would be of little use.
