From your post:Then when they went to Snyder over a year ago to get them to switch back to safe drinking water, he didn't do anything for far far far too long. The Flint water system was built a long time ago under a Democrat led community. Flint is bankrupt from Democratic leadership. It was thought using the Flint River as a water source would save money. The water reacted with the lead joints and caused the problem. This was missed by expert EPA and DEQ bureaucrats, who approved the change.
How much trouble is Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder in over Flint?
After the hardscrabble city of 100,000 switched its water source from Detroit to the Flint River to save money in April 2014, there are real questions about what Snyder and his top aides knew about the residents' complaints. The water, which researchers later found was corrosive to the lead pipes that transported it to much of the city, was smelly, murky and gave their children rashes.
If it were your city would you be defending the Republicans who poisoned your kids with lead? I seriously doubt that.
Snyder said in an interview published Monday with National Journal that he knew last summer that his top aides were concerned that Flint residents were "getting blown off" by the state's environmental department (whose director has since resigned).
And if there's a textbook for how leaders should respond in crises that cast their leadership in doubt, Snyder appears to be following it. He has publicly apologized twice, most recently in Tuesday night's State of the State address.
Do Republicans think a sorry will fix this?
And I think Snyder is a good actor. He plays the nice guy but deep down he's probably just as big a dick as the Koch brothers.
the state's environmental department (whose director has since resigned)
This is what these ignorant right wingers keep calling the EPA.
